Bio: The Finks League was founded in a dormitory room at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in August 1994. I was covering Bears training camp (Wanny: "He's got a leg.") for the Crystal Lake Northwest Herald and had a lot of time on my hands. At the time, I was the commissioner of the late Daily Journal's Rotisserie baseball league, but there wasn't anything to commish that summer due to the baseball strike. That's when I started planning a fantasy football league. The experimental first season started with my brother, Mike, and buddies Matt Simo and Bill Stone. The rest is history.
Interests: Hearing my daughter's cry of "Oh, Daddy" when I do something stupid; looking at my son's blue eyes; giving my wife hour-long backrubs... Popcorn, chocolate chip cookies and Little Debbie Nutty Bars... Chisox, Saints, Bucks, Canucks, Bucky Badger... Any films you can think of, especially Hong Kong action flicks, Holocaust docs, Buster Keaton silents, Capra, Hitch, Kurosawa... ABBA, The Carpenters, Styx, Garbage, Local H, Smashing Pumpkins, scores by Ennio Morricone and Michael Nyman... Golfing in bad weather when no one else is on the course... Go-Karting anywhere on earth... On TV, Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone," the best show ever made; Speed Racer after school in the good ole days, Frontline and the NewsHour.
